How Skills Transformed Amina’s Life
A few years ago, Amina was just another young graduate in Abuja. With a degree in Business Administration, she dreamed of landing a good job, but like many of her peers, rejection letters became her constant companion. Months turned into years and her hope for success began to fade.
Everything changed when Amina discovered the power of skills.
Through an apprenticeship program, she embraced digital marketing and small business management. It wasn’t easy, countless nights were spent learning how to design flyers, run social media ads and connect businesses with customers online. Her first project was modest, helping a neighbourhood tailor advertise dresses. But soon, her results began to speak louder than words. Referrals poured in, her client base expanded and Amina’s hustle grew into a thriving business consultancy.
Today, Amina is not just employed, she is an employer. She trains other young people in digital marketing, passing on the very skills that lifted her from uncertainty to success.
Amina’s journey is one of thousands across Nigeria — young men and women realizing that education is not only about degrees, but about purpose.
This is the mission of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Apprenticeship Management and Administration (IEAMA): to turn skills into solutions, and solutions into sustainable futures.
At IEAMA, we believe every learner has a story waiting to be written, a story of transformation, innovation, and impact. We provide training, mentorship, and platforms to make that story possible. Because when skills are given purpose, they do more than change lives, they change nations.
